Perkins...BLECH!

I haven't set foot in a Perkins in YEARS. I've never been a big fan. Today, the kids were starved after our appointment and I just couldn't hack McD's and Applebee's was too crowded, so we settled on Perkins. As some few that I know and love say, *HORK*. That was the nastiest food I've paid for in quite some time. I had a turkey melt. The cheese tasted like Velveeta, the turkey tasted like pork...and dry pork at that and the soudough was unrecognizable due to the slight rancid taste of whatever they grilled it in...and it was NOT butter. The fries were tolerable.

Thankfully, the kids did enjoy their chicken, so all was not lost.

On the endocrinology front-- the dr doesn't think it's blood sugar related, but agreed that there was enough ambiguity to schedule a FOUR HOUR GTT for Miss Z. That's scheduled for May 21. That should be pure torture, but what are you going to do? If that all comes up normal, she thinks that we should head to a neuro. She did check for increased pressure in Zay's head via her eye and said everything looks just perfect, so not to freak out too much. I did feel good that the dr agreed that it is definitely troublesome enough that the, "Some kids just suffer from chronic headaches" diagnosis is no longer sufficient.

She doesn't really think allergy related either cause, luckily, Zélie started to get a headache while we were there and she was able to describe it and show where it hurt. Didn't seem at all sinus related, but you never know, so I'm still gonna try the Claritin.
