So, Friday the Valentine's Day promo hits my doorstep, so I will be returning to shipping hell next week. That leaves me 3 weekdays to try and recreate the routine that I worked so hard at the end of 2007 to establish. It starts today.
After I complete this post, I'm changing my clothes, dressing the Littles and heading to the gym for the first time in about 6 weeks. Then, we're off to drop off the dead DVR and pick up Audrey, my niece for a playdate. Today's FIAR (Five in a Row) activity is making a (paper) rag coat. So, Audrey will join us for school today. I think that the girls will both have a grand time.
I'm figuring that cutting and pasting their "rags" will absorb them both enough that I'll be able to tackle my Motivated Mom tasks for today. This will make me so very happy. Then, we'll wrap up the day with school pickup, a trip to Uline for larger bubble mailers (see V Day promo info at top of post) and possibly drop Audrey off back at home. That's a pretty full day, right?
In other news...did you hear that a "new" Thriller album is coming out? Thriller 25 will contain the entire original album plus 5 previously unreleased in a any form songs. You know, Thriller really was a terrific album...I think it stands the test of time, but I just can't stomach the thought of buying it "again." I would feel as if I was handing my money to Michael Jackson himself *shudder*. Am I weird for feeling this way? Wouldn't you feel as if you were paying a pedophile if you bought it? It'll be interesting to see how it does now that the 80s are back in full swing.
As long as I'm the topic of celebrity, I just have to say that I'm becoming very disturbed by the media coverage of Britney Spears and her life. Now, I'm not one that thinks celebrities should just be left alone off the set or off the stage. I think having your life invaded by press and public is part of the price you pay for fame, but the Britney stuff is really crossing a line of decency at this point. The poor young woman has some pretty clear mental issues going on. She's ill. Her kids and her family are suffering, she's obviously suffering tremendously. I don't want to watch that. If I can't help her (and I really can't) then I certainly don't want to watch her like she's some sort of lab experiment or zoo animal. It's starting to harken back those disturbing Anna Nicole videos that became public after her death. Sad, awful and sick. *stepping down from my podium in my fuzzy black slippers*
Whew. I feel better now. Not a lot, but a little. Off to the gym. Oh, one more thing. The Kite Runner is a fabulous book. I had it for months, but just wasn't sure how I'd feel about it. I finally picked it up on Sunday and finished it last night. It was wonderful. Read it.
Have a super day :o).

I agree about the Thriller album, I don't think I could fork the money over for it.
Britney does need left out of the spotlight, she needs time to get herself together without all of the public scrutiny. Seriously, do we really need to watch her life fall apart? I'd die if I had that much attention when I was going through a hard time! Yikes!
As much as I love celebrity gossip, its sad to see what's become of Britney. She is surrounding herself with people who are only out to ruin her and her career forever, and we can only hope she will get help soon. Poor thing.
